This regime embacked on a reformative agenda/ strict disciplinary policies so as to maintain absolute order, peace and discipline in the Union. Riding on with this agenda, the Union was able to make a great success.
In the first place , the Unions financial position increased to double, when compared to its original position when the regime came in. However the introduction of some disciplinary policies was the attribute to this financial increase, especially the policy of operation DON’T TALK IF YOU ARE OWING, which was the master peace of debt recovery policy in the Union even till today.
Secondly, in creation of awareness and projection of the Unions image, a fundraising event in respect of the proposed Igbo Union Hall was organized on the 7th July 2014 where people from all works of life, both in Germany and abroard were invited, including Freiburgs Oberbürgermeister and some prominent politicians in Freiburg. Also to grace the occation was the chairmans effort of bringing two journalists from a media company Badische Zeitung who captured the event and published it in the Badische Zeitung which is one of the national daily news paper in Germany, so as to create a national and world wide attraction and awareness of the Unions programs and activities.
Thirdly, improvements and modernization in the Unions tradition and cultural dance group were made by acquiring some modern instruments like drums, masquerade etc. for efficient performances, abd to this effect, the cultural groug gained a lot of attractions for which the group were invited for entertainments in some occations by Stadt freiburg ,some associations in germany , Fance and Switzerland. Along with this also the cultural group attended a high profile invitation in Göttingen on 20.09.2014 by an organization or society for threatened people (Gesellschaft für bedrohte Völk) for our cultural dance entertainment on their national award event . Our cultural dance entertainment was a great attraction at this occation and was published in one of the national daily news paper in Göttingen which has also attracted more attention awarenss about our union’s activities.
The union’s Igbo language program for our children was not left behind as more encouragement and attention was drawn to it as two journalists were invited by the chairman to capture the program in session, which was given a classic publication in the Badische Zeitung for a nation wide attention and awareness of this noble program which gained alot of admirations.
Last but not the least, peace order and discipline was the union’s priority throughout the regime, and moreover we thank God for that no life was lost.
